September 25, 2006: I decided to dress up as Kaylee from the pilot of Firefly for Halloween this year. Using
Maggie's invaluable research, I have started putting together my costume. So far I have the four items pictured
below, all of which I purchased over the Internet. Both the boiler suit and shoes came from ebay sellers, but the bear
patch and Chinese parasol are from sites that Maggie recommended.

November 1, 2006: Well I got my costume done in time for Halloween! Of course, I was up until 1:30 that morning
painting the umbrella, but oh well. It's done. And I have pictures! Oh, the jacket and the shirt I wore under it were
both given to me by my former roommate, who is awesome. Thanks Kit!

10-29-07: New pictures! Well, these are from June, but I am just now getting them up. They're from the
Serenity screening for Equality Now that I went to in Des Moines. I entered the costume contest and won

The first one is from lunch, and the
second one is from that evening, after I
had spent four hours working in the scene
shop and gotten hydraulic oil on myself,
which just made it more authentic!
