This is my beautiful One-Of-A-Kind Padmé doll that I had repainted by the very talented Laurie Leigh. Isn't she gorgeous?

I am not affiliated in any way with the Tonner Doll Company,
American Girl, Hasbro, Only Hearts Club, or Mattel.
Padmé has the head of a My First Tea Party Teresa and the body of a Perfect Prom Maxie. Maxie has much more realistic
arms and hands than Barbie, and flat feet. Just for fun, I did a photo shoot of Padmé in her underwear:
She needed a central part rooted so I could do more hairstyles. I took photos of that whole painful process. Here she is before:
You can see that she was missing a few hair plugs on the top of her head and along the hairline in the back. I started rooting a central
part, and it took a long time and hurt my fingers, but it was worth it. I put her hair in pigtails to better show the work to be done.
Here is the reroot in progress:
I took out the braids so I could cut the new hair to the same length as the original hair, and used miniature butterfly clips to keep the
new hair out of the way so I can see where I need to go more easily.
Almost done... I finally solved my finger pain problem by buying these rubber thimbles, which are marketed for hand-quilting but
work just amazing for rerooting dolls:
And finished! Here she is
all rooted and with her
head back on her body:
